Mark E. Gilbert was born in Tomah, Wisconsin and attended High School in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986, Mark attended and graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1989.


While at Hamline, he was honored to be chosen as a member of the Hamline Law Review. Mark took and passed the Minnesota and Wisconsin Bar Exams in 1989 and 1990, respectively.


After law school, Mark began his career working at the Kalina, Wills & Woods Law Firm in Columbia Heights, MN, practicing law in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. While at the Kalina firm, he was in court often as one of the primary prosecuting attorneys for the City of Columbia Heights.

In addition, while at the Kalina Firm, Mark represented many injured individuals with personal injury cases as well as many businesses with civil litigation needs in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.


In 1995, Mark Gilbert left the Kalina firm to form his own firm. His firm's main office was in Roseville, Minnesota and then Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2006, Mark opened his current office in Hudson, Wisconsin, where he has resided with his family since 1997. Mark is married to Heather and is blessed to have four children and one grandson.


Mark Gilbert has practiced law for over 30 years now and has successfully represented thousands of individuals and businesses. He has successfully settled cases out of court and he has successfully guided cases through trial.


He has acted as a mediator and is a frequent volunteer with St. Croix County, Wisconsin, Small Claims Court. He has volunteered many times over the years in the community as a baseball and football coach and at the local schools when needed.


Mr. Gilbert is a dedicated veteran attorney with a great deal of experience, in and out of court. He has developed a reputation for professional excellence by putting the needs of his clients first.
